FEATURES OF ADAPTIVE LANDSCAPE PLANNING OF THE CATCHMENT AREA UNDER CURRENT CONDITIONS (overview)

Abstract:

Objective: the search for ways to improve the organization of rational use of agricultural land, including agricultural land, based on adaptive-landscape planning of the areas (land management project) with a range of soil protection measures. The urgency of the research theme is due to the fact that the development of these measures is most feasible on the entire catchment areas, and in recent decades it has become impossible due to the formation of a large number of land uses on their territory, the systematic change in their borders locations as a result of the redistribution of land, the creation of a strip farming and other spatial deficiencies. The basis of design decisions in the formation of the adaptive-landscape planning of the territory is agrolandscape stripes, which are allocated in such a way that within each of them the intensity of erosion processes is the same in terms of dynamic indicators. However, in the presence of a large number of land uses, it is often not possible to single out full-fledged agrolandscape massifs on the territory of only one (or several) of them.
Conclusions. The development of new approaches to design is necessary, and this, in turn, requires the adjustment of existing legislation. In our opinion, the selection of agrolandscape massifs should be carried out on the territory of the entire catchment without regard to land use boundaries. The resulting project should be the basis for the land planning of all land uses located in watershed area under consideration, and its availability should become a prerequisite for the agricultural land use.
