THE STUDY OF EFFECTIVENESS OF AGRICULTURAL RECLAMATION ACTIVITIES IN RICE ROTATION SYSTEM

Abstract:

Aim the goal of this research is to identify the efficiency of land grading and provocative irrigation in fallow fields of rice rotation under the conditions of Krasnodar Territory. Achieving this goal was provided with problem solving of studying the reaction of the Rapan rice variety on growing conditions after a complex of land reclamation measures in the crop rotation fields as well as determining the feasibility and economic efficiency of the applied agricultural practices.
Material and Methods. Field experiments were carried on at the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Krasnoarmeysky Rice Growing Pedigree Plant named after A. I. Maystrenko of Krasnoarmeysky district with various options of provocative irrigation after the capital planning of paddy fields, the methods of the All-Russian Research Institute of Rice, KubGAU, and the Kubangiprovodkhoz Institute were used.
Results. The obtained research results were subjected to statistical processing. It was found that after implementing land reclamation measures in rice crop rotation in the year preceding rice sowing, an increase in field germination of seeds was observed from 34.7 to 57.4 %, the density of planting increased from 243 to 402 units per square meter, and plant survival increased from 93 to 97.3 % of the experimental options. It was noted that water saving for rice irrigation is from 2048.3 to 2864.13 cubic meters per hectare, and the irrigation rate is reduced from 18.9 to 17.6 thousand cubic meters per hectare.
Conclusion: an increase in rice yield from 4.0 to 8.1 kg per ha was revealed according to the options of experience which allows to obtain a net profit for the enterprise in the amount of 2400–4860 rubles per ha. The overall economic effect from yield increase, seeds and herbicides saving per unit of sown area, reducing the irrigation rate is from 3.4 to 9.7 thousand rubles per ha, or 6.7–10.2 % of the total cost of rice production.
