STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT OF IRRIGATION SYSTEMS ELEMENTS STANDARD DESIGN: ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

Abstract:

The aim of the research is to analyze the scientific and regulatory and technical literature to identify the stages of typical design documentation application during the reclamation facilities construction on irrigation systems and to determine the advantages and disadvantages of typical design systems. As a result of the research it was found that the typical design documentation has such advantages as economic, technological and social in application, but also has disadvantages in application in terms of copyright. Under current conditions, the principles of typical design undergo changes and the reusable design documentation, cost-effective design documentation for reusing and modified design documentation, focused primarily on capital facilities are being introduced in practice. The system activities, including the typical design application carried out by the governing structures of the country in the 60-s last century, shortened the timeline of putting irrigation systems into operation and increased their acreages more than four times. The large-scale implementation of standard design of irrigation systems made it possible to achieve versatile positive results in the economic, technological and social spheres. Typical design of irrigation systems under modern conditions is undergoing trends towards new principles, which are still constrained by the level of requirements for irrigated agriculture, the lack of development of legislative and regulatory and technical documentation.
