ON THE PROBLEM OF CREATING ELECTRONIC DATABASES BY STANDARD DESIGN SOLUTIONS OF RECLAMATION SYSTEMS AND CONSTRUCTIONS

Abstract:

The aim of the research was to study methodological approaches to the creation and use of electronic databases containing information on standard design solutions of land reclamation systems and constructions and focused on their use as part of information technology support for the digital land reclamation challenges implementation. It was found that among the priority tasks facing the specialists in solving this problem are the tasks of systematization and structuring of the existing developments and their presentation in the forms regulated by the requirements of modern information technologies, namely, in the form of a relational databases complex. The initial data used to demonstrate an example of solving these problems were “Standard design solutions 820-4-039.90. Water intake facilities for irrigation pumping stations for supply up to 5 cub. m/s”. The electronic database including a set of interconnected tables that contain information about the types and main technical specifications of water intake structures, their design, volumes of work, material costs, etc was developed on their basis. The structure of each of the base tables was developed with an indication of the parameters stored in them, their types, units of measurement, adopted encodings and agreements. A diagram illustrating the relational link between database tables using a composite index is provided. The developed electronic database is the basis for information support of the complex of information technology support for the design and operation of water intake structures of irrigation systems. The functions of these tools for its creation and maintenance are defined. The joint use of the developed database and the means of its information technology support should ensure the automation of the calculation processes and selecting the water intake structures of irrigation systems, reduce the time and cost of their design.
