Abstract:

The purpose of the work is a review of innovative technologies for mountain and piedmont landscapes slopes stabilization and assessment of the possibility of their use under various geotechnical conditions. Environment protected management of natural landscapes, environmental protection, reclamation of disturbed lands today are paramount tasks. One of the main engineering measures to stabilize landslide areas is the mechanical retention of distorted earthen masses in an equilibrium state and their artificial stabilization with the help of retaining walls, sloping linings, stone counterberms, pile plates, as well as with loamy soil burning, trees planting on the slopes. An important direction in the practice of creating landslide protection structures is the development of more economical and efficient lightweight structures by means of the wire ties use in the construction of sloping linings and retaining walls. Four technologies aimed at preventing landslide processes are considered, namely: methods of anchoring landslip slopes, securing mountain slopes from landslides, including grid anchors, as well as a device for strengthening landslides on the base of flexible piles in seismic zones. The proposed engineering decisions make it possible to increase significantly the resistance to sloping linings sliding at minimum expense, to use the metals strength properties from which the anchors are made to the maximum extent.
